Board Amused Rental Agreement


These Rental Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) outline the terms between Board Amused (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and the customer (“you” or “your”) for renting board games and puzzles. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

 


 

1. Rental Period

  • Each rental period lasts 14 calendar days, starting from the date of pickup.

  • Games must be returned by the due date to avoid late fees.

  • Extensions may be available upon request and subject to availability.

 


 

2. Rental Fees and Payment

  • If a rental is not returned by the due date, a late fee of $1 per game per day may be charged.

  • If a game is not returned within 10 days after the due date, it may be considered lost, and you may be charged the full retail replacement cost.

 


 

3. Delivery and Returns

  • Local Pickup: After order is placed, you will be contacted via email with the exact pick up address and additional details including when your order can be picked up. 

  • Games are usually available within 24 hours and must be picked up within 3 days or the order may be canceled. 

  • Games must be returned in their original packaging, securely sealed to prevent loss or damage. 

  • You are responsible for games until they are received by us.

 


 

4. Game Condition and Care

  • Please handle all games and pieces with care.

  • Do not write on, bend, or damage cards, boards, or components.

  • Keep games away from food and liquids.

  • Normal wear from play is expected, but excessive damage may result in repair or replacement fees.

 


 

5. Missing or Damaged Items

  • When returning a game, ensure all pieces and components are included.

  • If pieces are missing or damaged, please notify us.

  • Replacement fees for missing or damaged items will be assessed based on the cost to replace the component or the full retail price if the game is no longer usable.

 


 

6. Cancellations and Refunds

  • If a game arrives damaged, incomplete, or unplayable, contact us within 48 hours for a replacement or refund.

  • Late cancellations or no-shows may not be eligible for refunds.

 


 

7. Liability and Use

  • You agree to use all rented games safely and as intended.

  • Board Amused is not liable for any injury, allergic reaction, or property damage resulting from the use of rented items.

  • You agree to indemnify and hold Board Amused harmless against any claims arising from misuse or negligent handling of rented games.

 


 

8. Ownership

All games and their components remain the property of Board Amused at all times. Renting a game does not transfer ownership or any intellectual property rights.

 


 

9. Privacy and Communication

  • Customer information is collected only to manage rentals, payments, and communication.

  • We do not sell or share personal information with third parties except as required by law or payment processing.

  • By renting from Board Amused, you consent to receive rental confirmations, reminders, and updates by email or text.

 


 

10. Agreement Acceptance

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You have read and agree to these Rental Terms and Conditions.

  • You are responsible for all games rented under your account.

  • You authorize Board Amused to charge your payment method for any applicable rental, late, or replacement fees.
